I approach design as a balance between analytical thinking and expressive storytelling — aiming to create spaces that are both functional and emotionally engaging. I am Aylin Yalnız, born on 23 January 2001 in İzmir, Turkey. I completed my bachelor's degree in architecture at Istanbul Yıldız Technical University, where I cultivated a design approach that values technical precision and compelling storytelling. I have hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD, particularly in residential projects, steel structures, and wide-span systems. Early in my studies, family financial and health challenges shaped my resilience and sense of responsibility. During a 60-day construction internship I handled a site accident with composure and initiative, strengthening my ability to stay calm under pressure. In my third year I spent an internship at a German architecture firm, gaining exposure to international standards and interdisciplinary collaboration. I strive to balance technical accuracy with user experience, spatial perception, and the integration of structure and aesthetics. My design interests center on how ergonomics, material systems, and façade design influence human interaction with space. Through teamwork and client communication I developed coordination and presentation skills, and I enjoy competitions such as the Bergama Creaton architectural ideathon with a friend from Dokuz Eylül University. I’ve contributed to TÜBİTAK 2209-A funded research on perforated shading elements and to YTU Digital Innovation Team, where I worked on integrating digital fabrication, data visualization, and software tools into architectural design processes. Outside of architecture I enjoy natural skincare, aesthetics, and holistic living.
