Yuyao Shangguan

Hi, I’m Yuyao Shangguan, a composer with an international education and a passion for creating original scores across films, games, and multimedia. I blend contemporary and electro-acoustic textures to craft immersive soundtracks that support storytelling and atmosphere.

Hi there! Over the past decade I’ve collaborated with game developers, TV/film teams, and academic ensembles in the US and abroad, and my work has been performed at venues such as Crowder Hall and at major festivals and galas. I’ve been recognized in composition competitions and I continue to explore cross-media storytelling through music.
