    This project focuses on recreating a garden villa model with a realistic rainy-day atmosphere using Corona Renderer. The original model from Render Camp served as the foundation, but I remodeled both the building and landscaping for higher photorealism, aiming to capture a serene post-rainstorm evening with wet asphalt, glistening surfaces, and the warm glow of sunset through overcast skies.
    Key techniques included creating realistic wet asphalt by using reflection glossiness maps and noise maps for puddles, and replicating damp soil and vegetation with reflective properties and subtle translucency. For the roof, high-resolution textures with displacement maps were used, while specular highlights enhanced the wet effect. The HDRI selection was crucial for achieving soft, diffused lighting and balancing it with the subtle glow of the setting sun.
    The interior’s warm lighting contrasted beautifully with the cool, damp exterior, emphasizing the inviting and calm atmosphere post-rain. Volume materials added atmospheric fog, enhancing depth and the overall ambiance. Additionally, reflection layers, refraction adjustments, and denoising optimized the render quality.
    The project also emphasized the importance of practical lessons, including fine-tuning materials, choosing the right HDRI, balancing interior and exterior lighting, and effectively using volumetric fog. The final render successfully captured the peaceful, rainy-day scene, showcasing the immense potential of Corona Renderer for creating photorealistic environments.
    This process highlights the power of detailed modeling, advanced rendering techniques, and thoughtful post-production to achieve lifelike architectural visualization.
