My name is, Mark. Pen Name: Zoarch Vanderman. I specialize in character illustrations and narrative-based writing. Whenever I begin a new project, I always highlight the narrative that compliments the content, whether the story is true or fictitious. I believe that a piece is most successful when there is a cohesive story that follows. For its story is the fulcrum of any art piece.

    uniE621 In The Pines
This was inspired by Tiny Tim's, "Little Girl (In The Pines)." A girl is walking along a trail deep within the woods by herself. It's a trail she often takes when she wants to excurse out of the house. But unbeknownst to her, there is someone who has been watching from the pines. Someone wants to the girl all to themself. Admittedly, the girl suspects something to be out there lurking behind the trees, for she tends to hear murmurs of singing whistling with the breeze. Although, her naive mind interprets it as a wild animal. The girl continues to walk the trail, and someone continues to watch from within the pines. illustrator
    uniE621 Summer Belongs To You
This was inspired by Phineas & Ferb's, "Sumer Belongs To You." A piece comprising of events and references from the TV series, Phineas & Ferb. illustrator
    uniE621 Ice Vassal
This was inspired by the TV series, Adventure Time. Simon Petrikov is an archeologist researching his most impressive discovery, a crown. Wanting to step into the heels of a royal, he placed the crown atop his head. It was only for a second, but the effects overtook him instantaneously. He felt powerful. It felt like the world was at his feet; that he could conquer everything. His skin significantly dropped in temperature. causing it to turn blue. His hair became as white as snow. There were voices whispering in his ear to unleash an arctic blast so powerful, it would transform the land into a marsh of ice and snow. The crown turned him to madness. He was no longer the man he once knew. In his mind, he was the king of ice. illustrator
    uniE621 Frozen Heart
This was inspired by Siamés', "Frozen Heart." After a state-scaled war, life as they knew would never be the same. Homes were decimated, families were torn apart, lives were ruined. The city has been rendered to nothing by ash and rubble. Those who remain the place they call home huddle together, trying their best to make it through the day. Though they struggle, still, they choose to stay. Waking every morning to a frozen image of calamity. illustrator
    uniE621 Breakthrough
This is the final installment of a four-part sequential piece I made in college. It's called, "Break." The premise for this assignment was to create four designs using different iterations of a single word. For example, Cycle, Recycle, Tricycle, and bicycle. The word I chose was, "Break." Which then became Breakup, Heartbreak, Breakdown, and Breakthrough. Across all four designs, I followed a narrative that strung the process of a broken heart, from the moment it occurred, to the triumphant restoration. This is the final part; "Breakthrough." Where the character's conscience is pushing him through the seemingly impenetrable wall of despair. Freeing him from the shackles of a broken heart. illustrator
    uniE621 Hares Only
A little bunny is wondering the open forest all by his lonesome. Although, his companion, Bon, is always in hand to keep him company. Together, they explore the wild in search for a home. They walk upon a pub in the dead of night. Hoping to find a place to rest their toes, they approach the pub. However, they spot a sign above the entrance that halts their plan. "Hares Only," it said. The little bunny didn't fully understand what it meant, but he does remember seeing a sign like this years ago, when he and his family were still together. It was a place similar to this one. An inn that turned them away, seemingly because they were not hares. Disappointed, the little bunny knew he would have to find somewhere else to sleep the night away. illustrator
