    Co-director of “Espantapànics,” a 26-episode animated TV series co-produced by Televisió de Catalunya (TV3). My involvement was integral across two full seasons, from initial concept to final broadcast delivery.

    My core responsibility was to ensure the creative and technical success of the series, combining artistic direction with hands-on production.

    My Contribution:

    • Creative Direction & Story: I co-created the series’ visual universe, designed all main and secondary character model sheets, and personally drew the storyboards for every episode to define the narrative pacing.
    • Technical Direction & Pipeline Development: A key challenge was achieving a 2D cartoon aesthetic using a 3D pipeline. I developed custom tools, including facial rigs, scripts, and shaders in Autodesk Maya, to solve this and optimize the team’s workflow.
    • Animation Direction & Post-production: I supervised the animation team to ensure quality and consistency, and handled the final editing and post-production for all episodes, making them ready for broadcast.

    The goal was to create a dynamic promotional video for social media, showcasing the platform’s key features and user experience.

    My Contribution:

    • Concept & Storyboarding: I was involved in the initial conceptualization of the ad and created the storyboard to map out the visual narrative and key scenes.

    A personal concept project to explore AI-driven workflows for character design and world-building. The goal was to create the cornerstone for a “visual bible” of a new sci-fi IP: a dystopian future where nature has reclaimed the Earth.

    The result is Kaelen, a bio-tracker designed to survive in this new, dangerous world.

    My Role & Process:

    • World-Building & Narrative: Used ChatGPT to brainstorm the dystopian world, the narrative framework, and the backstory for the main character, Kaelen.
    • Character Generation: Crafted detailed prompts in Midjourney to generate the high-fidelity visual of the character, focusing on a cinematic, photorealistic style that would define the IP’s aesthetic.
    • Post-Production & Refinement: Performed final post-production in Adobe Photoshop, refining details, adjusting lighting and color, and ensuring the final image met a professional, cinematic standard.

    This project demonstrates a complete concept-to-creation workflow, showing how AI can be guided by strong art direction to produce unique and compelling intellectual property.

    In 2004, I created Space Toons, Spain’s first 3D animated web series. Over 20 years later, this project is an experiment to produce a new chapter by merging my classic 3D pipeline with a modern, AI-assisted workflow.

    The challenge was not to replace, but to augment the traditional process: using generative AI to accelerate pre-production without sacrificing the artistic control of manual, keyframe animation.

    My Hybrid Workflow:

    • AI-Assisted Pre-production: I used the original 2004 character sketches as a foundation for a custom workflow in ComfyUI. This allowed me to rapidly generate style variations, color palettes, and detailed background scenery, turning weeks of work into days.
    • Classic 3D Production: With the AI-generated assets approved, I moved into Autodesk Maya for the core production. All character modeling and animation is done manually, keyframe by keyframe, to ensure full control over timing, acting, and quality.
    • Hybrid Post-production: The final stage happens in the Adobe Suite. I composite the Maya character renders over the AI-generated backgrounds in After Effects, adding VFX, color correction, and assembling the final edit.

    This project is a practical demonstration of a powerful, efficient workflow for modern animation, proving that AI can serve as a powerful production assistant, freeing up time for what truly matters: creativity and direction.

    A self-initiated concept ad exploring a horror-comedy narrative for a Halloween campaign. The core idea: a burger so good, it raises the dead.

    This project was an opportunity to manage the entire creative pipeline, from initial idea to final render, using a workflow that combines classic art direction with cutting-edge generative AI tools.

    • Concept & Pre-production: Developed the initial “They Rise for Something” concept, designed the cast of unique zombie characters, and created the full storyboard.

    A project commissioned by the DocBarcelona agency to solve a key challenge: making dense, technical corporate information engaging and accessible for employees.

    The solution was “Doc,” a friendly 3D character who starred in a series of three animated videos designed to humanize the company’s internal messaging, focusing on topics like energy efficiency.

    My Role & Process:

    • AI-Assisted Concept Design: Based on the agency’s brief, I developed the initial character sketches using an AI-powered workflow in ComfyUI (Flux model) to quickly generate and iterate on friendly, approachable concepts.
    • 3D Production: Once the design was approved, I handled the entire manual 3D pipeline: modeling, texturing, and creating a full character rig in Autodesk Maya.

      1. A presentation of the “Doc” character.
