I’m Amy Darling, a freelance graphic designer based in Broomfield, Colorado, with 20 years of experience creating engaging print and digital marketing materials. Since 2015, I’ve partnered with associations, credit unions, nonprofits, agencies, and corporate teams—supporting everything from reports, book covers, publications, social media, and presentations to advertising and direct mail.
I also develop complete conference and campaign branding systems, including logos, exhibit displays, signage, and event collateral, while managing multiple projects end-to-end from concept through production. Earlier in my career at the American Federation of Teachers, I supported affiliate organizations nationwide with production, vendor coordination, proofing, and image licensing—skills that help me integrate quickly into existing workflows and keep brands consistent across channels.

A sampling of projects I helped to produce while freelancing at Studio Pattern including brochures, PowerPoint, and all sorts of charts done in Illustrator.
As part of the Canvas Credit Union rebrand, I was contracted to design marketing campaigns for use across various digital platforms, including in-branch InLighten screens (LED displays), social media channels, and paid social ads. I adapted the new colorful and dynamic brand to these formats, ensuring each campaign was a visually impactful experience for members both in-branch and online.
While contracting for Studio Pattern, I had the opportunity to craft a bold visual identity for the Australian Flagship financial fund within the Evans & Partners company. From the logo to branding, print collateral, and digital assets—including an online newsletter and website—I infused every element with the essence of Australia’s breathtaking landscapes. This unique approach helped the fund stand out in a competitive market.
These book cover designs blend photography and typography to create distinctive visual concepts tailored to each author’s message. The goal was to develop covers that communicate the essence of the content at a glance while maintaining a polished, professional aesthetic.
I served as a key extension of the marketing team at Valley First for about 5 years. While the credit union partnered with an agency for select campaigns and print ads, I managed additional branding initiatives and design across multiple channels. My work included creating visuals for digital inLighten and ITM (interactive teller machine) screens, credit card and carrier designs, signage, email newsletter templates, social media, as well as direct mail postcards and other print collateral. Our priority was on maintaining brand consistency while delivering engaging designs that resonated with Valley First’s audience across both digital and print platforms.
I thoroughly enjoyed designing every aspect of the school leader conference held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. This included everything from the conference logo to the exhibit displays and digital graphics. Each design element was carefully crafted with layers of member photos, travel icons, frames, torn paper, and various scrapbook-inspired elements to create a cohesive and engaging visual experience. One of the highlights for members was seeing themselves featured throughout the event!
