Alejandro Casquero is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative path bridges performance, composition, and musical direction. His artistic curiosity has led him to pursue studies across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Classical Piano, Modern Harmony and Improvisation, Art History, Electroacoustic Composition, Orchestral Conducting, and a Master’s Degree in Musical Composition. He has built an extensive international career as a pianist, performing in more than 25 countries. In recent years, his work has increasingly focused on musical theater and large-scale productions. He has served as Musical Director for Kinky Boots and Jersey Boys, and he is currently the Musical Director of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice. Alongside his work on stage, Casquero has developed a significant body of work as a composer, arranger, and orchestrator. He has created and produced numerous original shows and arrangements for solo artists and ensembles within major cruise companies, as well as for productions in Las Vegas and a wide range of theaters, casinos, and concert venues across the United States, Spain, Portugal, Jamaica, and the United Arab Emirates. These productions were developed using professional tools such as Sibelius and Logic Pro, and brought to life through collaboration with musicians from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds around the world. After many years of experience as a teacher, arranger, and orchestrator, his compositional voice emerges as a synthesis of all these disciplines. His music brings together, in a personal and coherent language, the genres he masters both as a performer and a director: Tango and Piazzolla’s legacy, Argentine folklore, classical and lyric traditions, and jazz.
