Alejandro Briceño is an Emmy Award-winning composer, producer, and guitarist recognized for his versatility across diverse musical genres. He has collaborated with an array of internationally acclaimed international artists, and has contributed to arrangements, performances, and recordings spanning jazz, pop, Latin, and classical music. Originally from Venezuela, Briceño began his formal music education at the Federico Villena School of Music and the Conservatory of Music in Maracay, where he studied classical guitar and music theory, followed by private study in harmony and jazz improvisation. After relocating to the United States, he furthered his training at Miami Dade College and then obtained a Bachelor of Music in Production and Composition from the University of Miami. He later received a Graduate Certificate in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California. Briceño’s portfolio includes composing and producing scores for film, television, and documentaries with credits for major networks and companies such as Discovery Channel, NBC, and Nickelodeon. Currently based in Los Angeles, Briceño serves as Professor of Guitar and Music Technology Production at Los Angeles City College. In addition to his teaching work, he remains active in the industry, composing new works, producing music, and mentoring students.
