I am Amir Fazelian, a contemporary Iranian painter born in 1986 in Hamedan, Iran. My large-scale works explore the intersections of mythology, memory, and power through the lens of socio-political experience. With a background in Urban Design, my visual language blends structural thinking with poetic symbolism, rooted in Iranian historical and cultural narratives. In my recent work, I turn to myth and archetypes to examine tensions between ancient narratives and modern crises. My process is intuitive, layered, and often uncomfortable, using symbolic figures and layered imagery to explore how the past continues to shape the present.
