I’m Angela Chen, a motion designer and researcher based in Pasadena, CA, currently pursuing my BFA in Motion Design at ArtCenter College of Design. My work blends 2D and 3D motion graphics, brand storytelling, and exhibition design with a deep interest in research-driven design, particularly in healthcare architecture and biodesign. I was one of only 15 students selected for the Hermès Sponsorship Studio, where I helped develop and present concept work directly to Hermès’ artistic leadership. Motion, Industrial Designer at Hermès Sponsorship Studio
April 1, 2025 - October 7, 2025Selected from 200+ applicants as one of 15 to join the Hermès collaboration. Collaborated in a team of 3 to conduct demographic research and produce 90 ideation sketches and 16 physical mockups within a 14-week timeline. Led product storytelling through 2D and 3D motion graphics. Pitched the final product—renderings, ad posters, installation concepts, design mockups, and motion graphic—to Hermès’ Artistic Director and design team. The final product is under NDA and under review for potential production. Received high praise from the designer for product structure and from the Art Director for the illustrative video.
