Hi, I'm Antonia, a photographer and graphic designer who finds the best stories in unexpected places. I picked up a camera at a very young age and somehow always knew I'd be creating, even after many years during my early education focusing on building a career in business studies. After studying Film and Television at SCAD Savannah with a minor in Advertising and Branding, I discovered my love for still images that could hold entire narratives. That led me to pursue a Master's in Professional Photography at Instituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, where I'm based now. My African roots has given me a unique perspective — one that greatly appreciates individuality and stories in everyday moments. I'm drawn to intimate scenes within communities, working mostly with natural light and making design choices that convey deep meaning. Whether I'm shooting street life in Madrid, documenting youth culture in Kampala, or designing brand identities that speak through symbols alone, my work lives at the intersection of visual storytelling and cultural exploration. I work across various mediums—editorial portraits one day, brand identities the next. I use Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and DaVinci Resolve, but love the conceptual side just as much as production. I especially value collaborating with other artists who see things differently, then watching how the work functions once it's out in the world. My life has been shaped by movement—from Africa to Europe—and I'm inspired by both culture and our planets' natural landscapes. I value experiences over accolades: hiking new trails, discovering hidden galleries, and conversations with strangers who eventually become friends. I'm always looking for communities that inspire me and aim to create visuals that make people stop scrolling. You can explore my work at antoniakabugo.com.
