I’m Arnav Gupta, a final-year CSE undergraduate with experience building C++-centric backend systems, real-time telemetry pipelines, and full-stack web applications. Right now, I’m working on a real-time Drone Ground Control Station at the Drone Tech Lab, IIT Roorkee, where I’m responsible for core application logic, UI responsiveness, and operator-focused mission planning with live video integration using GStreamer. Built a real-time Drone Ground Control Station (GCS) from scratch, owning application architecture, C++ backend logic, and Qt/QML frontend for UAV monitoring and control. Implemented MAVLink telemetry ingestion and processing for live vehicle status, attitude, GPS position, and battery data while keeping ingestion off the UI thread; exposed state to QML using Qt properties and signals. Developed interactive map-based mission planning for defining waypoints, visualizing planned routes, managing mission data, and transmitting mission plans to the flight controller. Integrated GStreamer to decode/render live UAV video alongside telemetry within a single operator interface, applying OOP design and using Git in a Linux environment.
