I’m a senior at Parsons School of Design majoring in Illustration, specializing in character design and concept art for video games. My work encompasses designing original characters and concepts, as well as incorporating existing characters into stylized illustrations. I’m passionate about creating unique and visually engaging characters that speak directly to the viewer. “World of Characters” is a portfolio showcasing my skills in character art and design, presented in the style of a concept art book.
Book I centers on original character design. My focus is not on building entire worlds, but on developing characters through costume, and props. Each character is explored through multiple views or poses rather than narrative illustration, emphasizing design clarity and consistency. Spontaneity, nature, objects, and imagination are what lays the blueprint for my characters.
Book II focuses on fan work, which I treat not as reproduction, but as interpretive character design within established visual systems. While the works are centered largely on specific franchises, they’re presented as studies in character identity, adaptability, and stylistic consistency rather than as franchise commentary.
