Shiyu Zhang

I’m a visual artist and animator currently pursuing a BFA at Carnegie Mellon University, with a focus on animation, film, and digital media. My work spans 2D and 3D animation, illustration, and visual storytelling, supported by experience in tools like Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, and digital sculpting software. I’ve developed a strong foundation in both creative and technical workflows through hands-on roles in digital fabrication labs, where I worked with 3D printing and laser cutting, as well as through sound production for live events.

In addition to my technical background, I bring leadership and collaborative experience from designing visual materials and directing outreach for student organizations. What sets me apart is my ability to bridge art and technology—combining storytelling with practical production skills—and to adapt quickly across different mediums, whether I’m creating animations, designing graphics, or supporting interactive and physical projects.
