    Revered in Concert
    After getting runner-up in secondary school's 'Young Musician of the Year' in 2024, I was invited to come back and perform a solo piece accompanied by the school orchestra. I chose to rewrite one of my own pieces, Revered, as a piano concerto, with me as the soloist. Revered was originally written for voice accompanied by an orchestra so rewriting it as a piano concerto was quite difficult. I had never written a piece for solo piano before and making the piano part both technically difficult yet still being able to bring out the original melody was very tricky. However after several practices, rewrites and feedback from my old music teacher I was able to complete it in time to rehearse with the orchestra.
