Camille Poliquin is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Her diverse practice spans pop performances, art installations, and performance art featuring robotics, showcasing her talents on the global stage since 2014. With accolades from Nylon Japan to Rolling Stone and performances in dozens of countries, Poliquin has collaborated with Belgian-born producer Apashe on "Rain," Canadian producer Felix Cartal on "Too Late," Korean producer QRION on "Never Go Back," and many others. She also composed the original music for the 2019 documentary Sisterhood, 17 episodes of the Canadian TV series L’Empereur (Crave and Prime) and the first season of upcoming TV series Le Dernier des Monstres (illico+ and Prime) In August 2024, Poliquin released MILITIA, her sophomore record under the KROY alias. This new work features dark pop melodies inspired by themes of love, sadness, and depression. She also completed a 15-date tour supporting Ghostly Kisses across North America and performed on the main stage at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. In addition to her work as KROY, Poliquin releases music as half of the electro-pop duo Milk & Bone (Little Mourning, Deception Bay, Dive, Chrysalism). The duo's 2018 album Deception Bay won a Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year, and they have received two long-list nominations for the Polaris Prize (2015 and 2018). Milk & Bone has crafted music for two original Cirque du Soleil shows, multiple feature films, a Dior advertising campaign, and the video game Invincible Presents: Atom Eve. Their work has been featured in Interview Magazine, Nylon, Paste, Fader, and more, with syncs in programs such as Riverdale, Search Party, Broad City, and Tiny Pretty Things. Milk & Bone was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award in 2017 for the theme song for the film King Dave (Podz). The duo just released a new EP in collaboration with Chromeo in december 2025 Amidst all this, Poliquin is expanding her multidisciplinary practice. Exploring her obsession with robotics, she found an indispensable ally in Jonathon Anderson at The Creative School, Toronto Metropolitan University, who helped her work closely with KUKA robot arms. In 2021, she presented ANIMACHINA at the PHI Centre—a series of seven videos exploring themes of surveillance, terror, and animism, featuring her beloved robotic companion. Poliquin continues her work and research with these robotic titans in parallel to her musical pursuits.
