    paper Alley Cats - Don't See Me

    This is one out of a 10-track album. Don’t See Me is one of the most technically demanding and rewarding projects I’ve worked on. I handled the mixing and mastering, using a hybrid workflow that pushed both my technical skills and creative decision-making.

    The mixes were mixed in Pro Tools, allowing for detailed editing, automation, and tonal shaping, with plugins from Universal Audio, Sound Toys and Plugin Alliance used to achieve clarity, punch, and cohesion. Once finalised in-the-box, the stereo mix was routed through analog hardware, including a RHEA Vari-Mu compressor and NEVE 542 tape emulators, to add depth, warmth, and subtle harmonic character.

    Spatial effects were crafted using the AMS RMX16, creating intentional depth and movement that supports the music’s emotional flow. The final result balances precision with musicality, delivering a polished yet expressive sound. The album is now available on Spotify, iTunes, and all major streaming platforms.

    paper Mr Twin Sister - Meet The Frownies

    This project was one of the most technically demanding and rewarding I’ve worked on, and I handled both the mixing and mastering. The goal was to preserve the intimate, nostalgic character of the song while enhancing clarity, balance, and emotional impact through a hybrid workflow that pushed both my technical skills and creative choices.

    The track was mixed in Pro Tools, allowing for detailed editing, automation, and tonal shaping, with plugins from Universal Audio, Soundtoys, and Plugin Alliance used to achieve punch, depth, and cohesion. Once finalised in-the-box, the stereo mix was routed through analog hardware, including a RHEA Vari-Mu compressor and NEVE 542 tape emulators, to add warmth and harmonic richness. Spatial effects were crafted using the AMS RMX16 to create depth and movement that support the song’s emotional flow, resulting in a polished yet expressive final master.

    This electronic track, composed by Wilga in Sydney and mixed and mastered by Juan Manosalva, was one of the most ambitious and technically detailed projects I’ve worked on. The focus was on shaping a bold electronic sound while maintaining clarity, movement, and emotional depth through a hybrid mixing and mastering approach.

    The mix was built in Pro Tools, with careful frequency and dynamic control using plugins from Waves and Universal Audio. Once finalised in-the-box, the stereo mix was routed through analog hardware, including a RHEA Vari-Mu compressor and NEVE 542 tape emulators, to add warmth and harmonic character. Spatial design played a key role, with the AMS RMX16 used to create depth, space, and movement across the track. The final master is now available on Spotify, iTunes, and all major streaming platforms.

    “Meadows” is an folk composition by Shaun Kirsten, engineered and mixed by Juan Manosalva, with atmospheric guitar textures by Jon Hirons. The project focuses on creating an immersive sonic space where lush electronic elements and organic instrumentation coexist, requiring careful balance between clarity, depth, and emotional impact.

    Throughout the mix, I shaped the track’s sonic identity through detailed sound design, harmonic balance, and spatial control, allowing each layer to breathe while maintaining cohesion. The final result bridges digital precision with human expression, delivering a warm, expansive soundscape that feels both intimate and immersive, whether experienced attentively or as a reflective backdrop.

    paper ADAM - JUST ANOTHER MIXTAPE

    This track is one piece of a 20-song album composed by Adam Belleza in Sydney and mixed and mastered by Juan Manosalva. The project as a whole is the most significant and challenging work I’ve undertaken to date, requiring a strong focus on cohesion, clarity, and emotional consistency across a large and creatively diverse body of music.

    The album was mixed in Pro Tools using a hybrid workflow, with detailed in-the-box processing before routing the mixes out through analog hardware to reintroduce character and depth. A RHEA Vari-Mu compressor and NEVE 542 tape emulators were used to add warmth and harmonic richness, while the AMS RMX16 played a key role in shaping space, glue, and a unified sonic identity. The album is now available on Spotify, iTunes, and all major streaming platforms.

    I’m incredibly proud of the result and grateful to have been part of such a meaningful project.

    paper Seconds After - Midnight Insomnia

    In this project I contributed both production support and mixing engineering, helping shape the sound from its foundational elements through to the final mix. Working closely with the artist, I focused on refining the arrangement and enhancing the emotional impact of the performance while ensuring clarity, balance, and presence throughout the mix.

    In the mixing stage, I used a detailed workflow to balance tonal depth and dynamic control, sculpting frequencies and space to bring out the best in each element. The result is a polished, engaging mix that supports the energy and intent of the track while maintaining technical precision and musical cohesion.     paper Crystal Cities - You Were the Last to Know (Live)

    This video captures a live set performance recorded and engineered on location, highlighting the raw energy and atmosphere of a real-time musical moment. As the recording engineer, I was responsible for capturing the full sonic picture of the performance, balancing clarity, impact, and space while managing the challenges unique to live recording, including microphone spill, dynamic shifts, and the interaction between performers and audience.

    During the session, I handled microphone placement, gain staging, and real-time monitoring to preserve both the nuance and intensity of the set. The final recording reflects the immediacy and flow of the performance, retaining its organic dynamics and spatial depth while maintaining technical control, and captures not just the music but the shared energy of the room.

    This song showcases a project where I contributed both production support and mixing engineering, helping shape the track from initial concept through to its final sonic presentation. Working closely with the artist, my role focused on refining arrangements, balancing individual elements, and ensuring the performance retained its energy and clarity throughout the mix.

    In the mix, I employed a detailed workflow that balanced precision with musicality, using careful gain staging, tonal shaping, and spatial design to enhance depth and presence. The end result is a polished, engaging mix that supports the emotional intent of the performance while maintaining technical control and clarity.
