Hello! I’m Ceyda Çelebi, a Ph.D. candidate in Classical Turkish Literature and a Lecturer at Bilkent University’s Turkish Language Unit. My scholarship centers on Ottoman Turkish, manuscript studies, and literary historiography, with a deep interest in câmasb-nâme literature, vilâdiyye poetry, and the culinary-cultural texts of the Ottoman world. I enjoy translating and interpreting historical texts, teaching Turkish as a foreign language, and communicating insights through scholarly writing and public speaking.
Beyond research and teaching, I work as an editor and proofreader for academic articles, theses, and manuscripts, helping authors refine ideas while preserving philological precision. I collaborate on book chapters and conference papers, and I enjoy editorial and design-driven work in publishing and manuscript studies. In my spare time, I explore Ottoman culinary history, manuscript conservation, and the broader intersections of language and culture in the Ottoman world.
