Overview:
As part of my Google Certificate Course, I led the research and design of a mobile movie ticketing app that allows users to browse movies, book tickets, and manage their movie-going experience. I conducted competitive analysis and user interviews to identify usability, navigation, seat selection, location, and accessibility pain points. Using Figma, I created wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and a cohesive visual design focused on readability and intuitive interactions. The final product received positive usability test feedback for its ease of use and visual appeal, demonstrating my ability to deliver a user-centric design from concept to completion.
Project Objectives:
Enhance Usability
Streamline Navigation
Seat selection
Location
Improve Accessibility
Research Phase:
In the research, I conducted two different approaches. The first was a competitive analysis with other Movie Theater ticketing apps to see what holes are in the market. I also conduct user interviews with the target audience to come up with user pain points for which to design solutions.
Design Phase:
Wireframing and Prototyping:
Developed low-fidelity wireframes to outline the basic structure and flow of the app.
Created high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma to visualize the final design.
Visual Design:
Crafted a modern, visually appealing UI with a focus on readability and ease of navigation.
Established a cohesive color scheme, typography, and iconography consistent with the app’s branding.
Interaction Design:
Designed interactive elements to enhance user engagement, including animations and transitions.
Ensured that the app’s interactions were intuitive and responsive across different devices.
Outcomes:
Successfully designed an intuitive and visually appealing movie ticketing app that met the needs of the target audience.
Positive feedback from usability test participants, highlighting the ease of use and aesthetic appeal of the app. Demonstrated ability to lead a project from research to final design, ensuring a user-centric approach throughout.
