    ‘The Trouble with Trouble’ is a children’s book published by Pratham Books which I had the opportunity to illustrate in 2019. Written by Menaka Raman, it is a light-hearted, touching story about a child called Abhi and their misbehaving, prawn-stealing dog - Trouble. Pratham is among India’s largest NGOs and has made immense contributions in the fields of child welfare and education.     The Dakini series is based on traditional depictions of witches in many parts of India. Termed Dakini in some cultures, Indian 'witches' were said to have a third eye as well as an animal familiar. Each piece is combined with motifs from Indian textiles and indigenous Indian animals.
