Hello, I’m Devin Barnes—an industrious, creative media professional driven by storytelling across writing, acting, directing and film. I hold a BA in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario with double minors in dramatic literature and creative writing, and have built a varied track record editing for TV Western, conducting camera interviews, performing on-air readings for CHRW, and writing reviews and articles for The Western Gazette and We Eat Films. My hands-on background spans theatre, script-to-screen production at Fanshawe and Centennial College, and ongoing work as an actor and creator.
Since graduating, I’ve continued honing my craft through classes at The Second City Training Centre, professional acting work (including a McDonald’s commercial), and by writing and pitching screenplays—my TV pilot placing highly in several competitions and being pitched to Bell Media. I am a conscientious, expanding media professional with a broad portfolio—acting credits, reels, blogs, short films, plays and stand-up footage—and I’m excited to bring storytelling and educational content to edtech as a Content Creator.
