Hi, I’m Amy Thomas, a senior web and visual designer with a passion for creating user-friendly digital experiences. I design, code, and maintain mobile-friendly websites (about 50 per year) using CMS platforms like AEM, Drupal, and WordPress, while also hand-coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I build prototypes, landing pages, email templates, and marketing assets that align with brand guidelines and departmental goals.
I also craft graphics, branding, and marketing assets, support large departments, and mentor teams on website maintenance. I enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet business objectives, and I bring experience in video editing and art direction for events.
We needed the event page to mirror the Stanford School of Medicine web design - but we needed additional design elements and functionality. So, I built a site for the event, keeping with the design guidelines, that allowed us to show the agenda and speaker information in a more readable format.

I worked with the development team on a web application to help re-design the dark interface into a more professional, cohesive look. The software is used in a dark reading room, so the interface had to be darker than typical.
Designed and produced a banner with corresponding posters for a local charter school’s 10th Anniversary.
I’ve worked on this book since 2008, as the primary designer. I propose design and layout to the team each issue and work with them to refine the book. Once design is relatively agreed upon, we work together to gather, edit, and import the content and images to the book.

The Department of Radiology opened a new facility (CRF) and needed signage for the event. I created a [large backdrop](https://www.twine.net/signin for the event, as well as [brochures](https://www.twine.net/signin [posters](https://www.twine.net/signin [social media graphics](https://www.twine.net/signin and the [website](https://www.twine.net/signin My role on this project was the designer. I created the design and used it across the collateral for easy visual recognition.
Provide photography services to the Department of Radiology; create original art for grant and journal submissions; design and produce graphics for department events; design and produce the department’s annual report.
Provide support and troubleshooting for websites across multiple departments; create and maintain websites across the School of Medicine using Dreamweaver Templates; participate in weekly stand-ups; apply user-centered thinking and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions.
Design, develop, and manage ~50 mobile-friendly websites annually using CMSs such as AEM, Drupal, WordPress, and hand-coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Create prototypes and code ready for import into software code base. Design and produce more than 35 graphic design projects annually (brochures, flyers, booklets, signage) using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Build landing pages, email templates, and marketing assets; provide visual support and training; act as primary design/web services contact for the department; provide video editing/post-production for events; collaborate with stakeholders to implement products aligned with departmental goals and guidelines.
