Born and raised in Baltimore, Dharm (pronounced “Duddum”) discovered his passion for art and the fantastical early on, drawn to the idea of creating worlds beyond the everyday. With a degree in graphic design, he began his career in the Bay Area, working with top design firms and crafting marketing materials and animations for clients like Apple, StubHub, and Yahoo. Seeking a more personal and creative outlet, Dharm shifted his focus to art fundamentals, eventually becoming an illustration artist.
Dharm stands out for his ability to draw inspiration from ancient cultures, mythology, travel, and personal experiences, transforming these influences into rich, narrative-driven illustrations. His work isn’t just about visual appeal; it’s about storytelling—each piece serves as a gateway into detailed worlds that engage and inspire. With 15 years in graphic design and 3 years as a freelance artist, Dharm has a strong track record of turning clients’ visions into impactful illustrations.
His portfolio includes published works in tabletop board games, card games, and RPG user guidebooks, demonstrating his versatility and innovation. Beyond his technical skills, Dharm is known for being easy to work with, fostering collaboration that brings the best ideas to life.
Now freelancing from his home in San Diego County, Dharm combines his artistic skills with a personal approach, creating designs that connect on a deeper level. Constantly evolving his craft, Dharm believes in the power of art to transport and transform, making his work not just unique, but truly memorable.
