I am currently parked with some hippie peacenik friends in the Upper Galilee finishing my novel, The Mirrors of the Soul; but I'll be heading back to the Oregon High Desert in early November. I've been writing fiction across genres since I was a kid; but I have always concentrated on examining the (always-unanticipated) near-future consequences of our own hubris, the cost of deindividuation, and the price exacted on those who practice violence professionally. Hopeful horror, if you will. My nonfiction output has been a (largely-futile) attempt to persuade people that ever-more-marketing might not be the solution to our (largely-self-inflicted) problems. About the only things that truly offend me is an intentional lack of dutifulness or obvious bad faith, because loose ends and self-service get good men killed.
