I’m Eduardo Martins, a documentary and editorial photographer based in Porto, in the north of Portugal. For over twenty years, I’ve captured authentic stories—from quiet, everyday moments to major cultural events across Asia and Europe. My degree in Art History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa gives me a deep appreciation for context, narrative, and an informed eye that I bring to every frame. Between 2016 and early 2021, I lived in Macau SAR, China, where I served as lead photographer for local publications and cultural festivals. During that time, I covered pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong and developed a long-term project exploring Cambodia 40 years after the Khmer Rouge—experiences that taught me to navigate different cultures, build trust with my subjects, and tell complex stories with sensitivity.
