Emma Reed is a multi hyphenated filmmaker, beginning as a writer and director and transitioning into a producer role. She started her filmmaking journey in high school after her acceptance into the Video Film Production program at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center. In her time there, she won second place in the SkillsUSA Digital Cinema Competition at a regional level for her short film The Wand. Her educational pursuits continued with her attendance at the Pennsylvania State University where she was accepted into the Donald P. Bellisario School of Communication. During her college years, Reed worked for Penn State Campus Recreation as a Photographer and Videographer before moving to the University Libraries to serve as their multimedia intern. In addition, she wrote and directed the short film Writer Her Eulogy in the fall of her junior year, directed the documentary Letters from Home in the spring, and produced the film The Unknown Accomplice in her senior year. Reed is also an avid writer, currently working on her first television pilot, #frauds. She graduated from Penn State in the spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and a minor in English.
