Sensory Room Designer at Rompa LTD

At Rompa, I designed sensory rooms for children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Each project was tailored to the specific needs of the user, considering factors like age, budget, and mobility. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects for institutions, schools, and private clients, both domestically and internationally, including clients in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia. In addition to sensory room design, I’ve contributed significantly to Rompa’s branding and marketing efforts. I’ve designed catalogues, created the ‘Rompa Extra’ cover, and led the re-brand of the ‘Older Adults’ brand, developing a new brand identity and logo.

Junior CAD Designer at Kybotech LTD

As a Junior CAD Designer at Kybotech, I played a multifaceted role within the New Product Development Team mainly focusing on designing Garden Buildings. I was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including regularly troubleshooting RDM issues and updating/fixing products to improve company reputation. I led multiple complete product redesigns, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g. EN71 standards), creating new instructions and overseeing the full product and part set-ups. I utilized software like SketchUp and SolidWorks to conceptualize and design new products, creating detailed technical drawings and calculating costs, pricing, and weight. I spearheaded the full product development life cycle, creating new processes and contingency plans to ensure full ideation, design, prototyping, testing etc. I conducted data analysis, such as calculating monthly timber usage, identifying opportunities for SKU reduction, and performed detailed competitor analysis to assess market positioning. I actively participated in international client meetings, oversaw and helped build prototypes, and collaborated closely with the production team to implement product changes and improve overall order fulfilment and lead times. In addition to my individual projects, I managed the workload of a CAD Draftsman, Graphic Designer, and Photo-realistic Renderer, providing creative briefs and overseeing their progress monthly. To manage this demanding workload effectively, I created a detailed progress chart. This ensured that although I had many projects on the go at once, deadlines were still being met, and projects were not being forgotten about.

Design Engineer at Panel UK

March 3, 2025 - March 31, 2026

In my time at Panel UK, I showcased a wide range of skills from Product Development to Marketing and Social Media Management. The work I achieved in this role is a testament to my ability to adapt and my enthusiasm to learn new skills. As the only female and youngest designer on the design team, I was still able to lead projects, meetings and make informed suggestions to higher management. My knowledge of manufacturing grew exponentially in this role; as aluminium is a rigid metal, I had to ensure that my technical drawings were all exact and had the appropriate tolerances. I was often praised for my attention to detail in this particular part of my job - keeping cost to a minimum was essential, therefore getting it right the first time was always commended. I would frequently discuss my work with the other engineers, installers and machine operators to ensure my approach was correct. Whilst design engineering was at the centre of my role at Panel UK, I was regularly tasked with Graphic Design, Marketing and with helping streamline operations. I ran a BOM configurator project, where I created a very complex spreadsheet which worked as a congfigurator for our standard sizes of office pods. This project was something that higher management never thought was possible, and with my Spreadsheet Skills, I was able to bring that to life for them. The configurator reduced the time designers spent on routine BOMs, allowing them to focus on more complex room designs and dedicate more time to product development - an area that was previously often overlooked. In the absence of a formal marketing team, I was selected to spearhead the company’s marketing operations. As a B2B company, marketing was never a priority, however as times change, it became more important which is where my skills came into play. I introduced email marketing in the form of monthly newsletters, I designed brochures, did a full web redesign and also designed more commercial graphic work for their sister company Shadespan LTD; examples of this can be found in my portfolio of work.
