Hi! I’m Elena, and I honestly love what I do. I’m a Bucharest-based designer who mixes a sunny personality with a serious obsession for creating beautiful, pixel-perfect products. My background is in Psychology, which means I don't just make things look pretty—I make sure they work for the human brain.  I’m a "do-it-all" creative partner. Whether I’m designing a complex Digital Product Passport for a global enterprise or building a custom Shopify store for a startup, I focus on delivering the absolute best product possible. I believe design should be accessible to everyone and inclusive by default.  What I bring to the table: • The Heavy Lifting: UI/UX research, wireframing, and mobile-first app design.  • The Web Building: Custom sites on Framer, Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify. • The Vibe: Branding, graphic design, and a fun, stress-free collaboration style. Let’s make something beautiful together!

Making product data human: a Digital Product Passport for Huawei Luna

    The Challenge
How do we simplify complex product data (e.g., carbon footprint, technical specs) for diverse mobile users (homeowners, technicians, manufacturers) while ensuring regulatory compliance?

    The Goal
Reduce the time users spend finding product/environmental info by 50%.

Validate flow clarity and navigation ease through heuristic evaluation.

    Approach and Research
The design was guided by a strong foundation of research:

Defined user needs using personas and a journey map.

Established a clear Information Architecture (IA) to guide content flow.

Adopted a strict mobile-first approach to serve users accessing the DPP via QR code on-site, optimizing for small screens and fast load times.

    The Process
I handled the entire end-to-end design, from structure to visuals:

Wireframing & IA: Started with low-fidelity layouts to establish the information hierarchy, ensuring quick access to key details (warranty, carbon footprint, recycling info).

Visual Design: Refined the interface with a clean, professional look, creating a trustworthy, straightforward experience.

Data Visualization: Transformed raw sustainability and compliance data into clear visuals—graphs, icons, and progress indicators—to make the product’s environmental impact transparent.

Manufacturer Portal Redesign: Improved the backend interface to simplify data uploading and reduce errors in technical data entry.

    Results and Impact
The result is a clear, accessible, and regulation-ready digital passport:

Clarity: Technical and sustainability data is now organized and approachable for all user types.

Trust: Visualizing the carbon footprint made the product’s environmental impact transparent and understandable.

Scalability: The structure can easily be adapted as a framework for future products or categories.

    Key Learnings
Balancing Compliance & Usability: Learned to turn rigid regulatory requirements into a clear, intuitive user experience.

End-to-End Ownership: Managed the entire UX lifecycle (IA to UI), fostering fast, user-centric decision-making.

Communicating Complexity: Mastered translating technical data into clear, usable content while aligning experts and non-experts.
