    uniE608 FLYING SOLO: Mashael AlObaidan
    Following the E1 series and Dakar Rally athlete, Mashael in her first and second series of the E1 Championship, the mini-doc explores how Mashael came to become a racing driver, having grown up in Saudi Arabia. I was passionate about creating this piece from the get-go. Due to the nature of the E1 championship - having equal gender partnerships in each team, this was a great opportunity to provide a platform to the female athletes and promote equality through sport.

    Champions of the Water is a YouTube series following the E1 championship teams, filmed and produced by Aurora Media. Each episode is 30 minutes long, following team members and all the drama behind the scenes during race weekends. I was asked to create trailers for each episode, pulling fans towards the series.

    Filming the PWR final, we were asked to capture behind-the-scenes footage following players before and after the game, as well as the game-play highlights, bringing the fans closer to the action.

    Working with E1 at Curveball Digital production agency for 3 years, I was the lead Producer and editor for the Original Series, 'Flying Solo'. At the end of the series, I created a trailer, drawing fans new and old towards the series on YouTube.

    Working for the PWR, I created a docu-style pitchside feature, explaining the gameplay and the build-up to the game, following players before and after the game, taking fans behind the scenes before the action. In addition, I was asked to create a cinematic piece showcasing the girls in action as well as the emotional highs from winning the game. Considering their love for the 'Pink Pony Club' track hit, I thought it was the perfect song to tailor the sound design around.     Athlete and online influencer Jamie wanted cinematic footage for his social channels that would make him stand out online. This was one of the many pieces we made together.

    The client asked me to capture the university basketball game and make the footage relevant to the social trends of today, capturing the atmosphere of the game to entice more of the students to come to future games.

    Lead Editor for a YouTube entertainment piece showing the E1 team owners, Rafa Nadal and Will Smith, meeting for the first time in Lake Como to drag race the E1 Racebirds. The goal was to keep it lighthearted and show the best of the team owners, as well as relatability, as their nerves kick in before the race. The YouTube piece made it to the top 5 nominees for Best Social Media Campaign 2024. videoeditor
