Pixie Cram is an award-winning filmmaker based in Ottawa. The format of her work includes stop-motion animation, fiction, and documentaries. Her films have been broadcast on CBC and have screened at festivals across Canada and internationally. As a freelancer, Pixie has produced short documentaries, promotional videos and video portraits. In 2014, she directed 3 episodes for La fabrique culturelle tv, a series on Téléquébec. Working as a freelance videographer, she has travelled to Sherbrooke, Montreal, Toronto, Manitoulin Island, Puvirnituq, Nunavik and Le Pas, Manitoba. Throughout her career as a filmmaker she has specialized in the development of media training for youth and has delivered video workshops to youth-at-risk across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. With Youth Ottawa, Pixie established Hot Shoe Productions, a youth-led social enterprise that offers high-quality professional video services. She teaches screenwriting at Carleton University.
