Shane P. Crosland is a filmmaker, director, and artist. Through surrealism, impressionism, mixed formats, and multi genre story telling, his focus is set on transience, world cultures, philosophy, and the little things in life.
Filmmaking was introduced to Shane back in 2009 as a teenager when he and his friends were deeply rooted in the scene of the concrete jungle and skateboarding when he bought his first camera and was slowly introduced to different walks of life through this community.
He has since gone on to attend University Of Colorado At Boulder, learning the ins and outs of all forms of filmmaking from some of the most notable conceptual and experimental instructors. Shane has had the chance to work with some of the biggest brands from Nikon to Netflix and rising artists such as Angus Stone, Kita Alexander, and Ben Hazlewood. Some of his accolades include a Best Film Nomination at New Renaissance Film Festival London and Venice Shorts, Audience Award at Around Film Festival Berlin, an Official Selection at Academy Award Qualifying Film Festival, St. Kilda Film Festival, as well as Staff Picks with Film Shortage and Short Films Matter.
In 2020, Shane also launched a creative film production company and music label by the name of SONIK-INO, acting as a brand thriving on the essence of inclusion, setting a stage for artists to have their voice heard through various types of creative mediums.
Apart from film, art, and music, Shane is exploring new avenues of the world to learn from the people and cultures within it.
