    paper Poetry Films Inc. (Branding)
    • About
This project was proposed in a course called Strategic Branding during my bachelor’s at OCAD University.

    • Challenge
Establish a visual identity for a startup film company.

    • Positioning & Attributes
Entertaining art. Our canvas is the screen, our palette is life. Poetry is committed to creating provocative, intelligent movies that entertain. We will partner with the brightest and most talented artists, writers, directors, actors, and others to make movies that will be regarded as iconic and classic films of their era.

    • Logo Design Concept
This logo emphasizes the Key Attribute of being Classic, while also incorporating two Valued Attributes: Smart and Sophisticated. The icon at the center represents a camera lens, and the two smaller elements are stylized quotation marks. These marks were derived from the classic calligraphic typeface Parfumerie Script, referencing the iconic “The End” often seen in vintage films. The chosen colour palette—featuring red/orange and blue/green—pays homage to Kinemacolor, one of the earliest colour processes used in cinema.
