In 2022 I worked on a project exploring depersonalization/derealisation disorder, which was a very intense experience for me. It was the first time I photographed something that I felt but couldn't explain to others. This project sparked my interest in conceptual photography and installation, which is what I plan to explore further in my future practice.Living with depersonalization and derealization disorder is like existing in a perpetual state of disconnection. It's as if I am an outsider in my own life, observing it from a distance rather than fully participating in it. My body, thoughts, and emotions seem distant, almost like they belong to someone else entirely.
In this altered state, the world around me takes on a surreal quality. It's as if a thin veil separates me from reality, casting everything into a hazy, dream-like realm.
