Hi, I’m Farah Aria. I’m an artist, illustrator, and author who loves creating multicultural, whimsical words and images for children. I celebrate diversity in my rich, colorful paintings of kids from many cultures and I enjoy mixing playful pastel tones with textured gouache and acrylics to keep a joyful palette for young readers. With a background from Art Center College of Design and experience teaching preschool, I’ve spent 20+ years freelancing in the children’s market, blending traditional and digital media (Wacom, Procreate, Photoshop). My editorial work has appeared in magazines for women and kids, and I’ve illustrated five educational picture books and authored two. My art has also been used for posters, greeting cards, apparel, and animations.
