Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Felipe immersed himself in the world of music from an early age on. After graduating magna cum laude from Berklee College Of Music in 2015, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he spent two years working as an intern at Hans Zimmer's studio (Lion King and Interstellar). Subsequently, he worked as an assistant for composer Alex Wurman (March of the Penguins and Patriot), as well as a freelance composer and producer. Today he works from his studio in Bogotá where he composes for international and local productions. Since his relocation, Felipe has successfully written music for a diverse catalogue of projects. These include the TV series Nat Geo Lab (Nat Geo Kids - 2018), branded content Tu conductor elegido (Nissan Colombia - 2019), the Cannes Jury Prize awarded film Memoria (Apichatpong Weerasethakul - 2021), and the internationally recognized documentary Fragmentos (2020) by acclaimed Colombian artist Doris Salcedo. In 2019 he released his debut album as a pianist titled Mitad Azul, Mitad Otros Colores. In 2023, he launched his second album Donde aún viven los pájaros, produced by the Colombian label Polen Records.
