Feroza Gulzar is a Belgium Based documentary filmmaker and travel photographer focused on documenting the relationship between human, nature and their endangered knowledge. Her work also explores themes of memory, grief, and healing through personal films. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (Pakisan), she exhibited her work in galleries across Pakistan. One year later she followed her dream and moved to the mountains of Pakistan, where she worked as an expedition photographer and filmmaker, capturing stories deeply connected to mountain communities and their endangered traditions. She has also undertaken a personal project of writing letters to places, people, and emotions, which has influenced her exploration of memory, grief, and healing. She is currently working on a film with The British Museum and The Museum of Scotland as Part of their Endangered material knowledge program on Chitrali Shu in Pakistan.
She is currently based in Brussels, Belgium, where she is completing her final year of DocNomads, a Joint Master’s in Documentary Film Directing (2023–2025), during which she has produced various documentary films across Europe, including projects in Portugal, Hungary, Finland, and Belgium.
