The level of sophistication, clarity and depth he’s imparted to my music has exceeded anything I thought was possible, and his production nous and creative input has also contributed greatly to the overall quality of the project. Additionally he has re-mixed and re-mastered some older material and again the results have been nothing short of startling. I’ve been involved in making and performing original music since the early 80’s and in that time have crossed paths with some top tier producers such as John Boylan and JD Souther (Eagles, Linda Ronstadt), Dave Marrett (with the band Coconut Rough), Ian Morris (with Greg Johnson), Graham Mhyre and even Roy Thomas-Baker (Queen et al.) If I were in a position to choose any producer I’ve worked with, past or present, to collaborate on my music, Jon would get the job every time, not just because of his skillset but because of his willingness to go the extra mile to bring the very best out of the music. What Jon does transcends technical ability and crosses over into a realm that can only be described as magical. Sounds cheesy but it’s absolutely true. A word of warning though - if you’re under the misapprehension that you’re a pretty alright mixer (as I was), if you work with Jon you will soon be re-calibrating this assumption!
