    BLUE MARLIN - Croatia

I was invited to be a part of The Blue Marlin project by Berlin artist Atau Hamos.
I have been creating content for Atau since day one of his solo career, our time together formed a solid friendship and has provided many opportunities for me to get a bit more experimental when it comes to documenting his art.
As soon as Atau presented the concept to me I already had some strong visual aesthetics in mind, coupled with the chance to go to Croatia for two weeks it was safe to say i was ‘on board’ and we couldn’t wait to get started.

Atau’s projects explore the interaction between art and space.
The fusion of structures through dynamics and colour is a stylistic device that he often implements in the creation of his art and design pieces.

For Blue Marlin he used the lines of the boats body as a basic template to implement his style. A key inspiration was the way water billows around a boat and breaks on its hull.
Water itself is a fascinating element that can switch from peaceful to powerful within seconds. We were looking for a visual language, that would give the boat a dynamic, powerful look while moving, and looks elegant when moored at the peer.

The Blue Marlin project was a private commission for a friend of Atau.
The scope: an exterior design of his speed boat.
