    As part of the requirements for graduation at the masters in sound recording at McGill Universisty sound recording students are required to make a "Soundalike" during their second (and last) year in the program. A soundalike is a recording made from scratch by the student (myself) that is meant to sound as closely as possible to the original recording. It is an extremely difficult endeavour, much more challenging than making a good recording since many factors go into the specific sounds that were captured at a particular time.
