Goran Krmac is a professional multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger working across jazz, folk, pop, electroacoustic, and experimental music. He is best known as a tuba player with a number of acclaimed Slovenian acts, such as singer-songwriter Rudi Bučar, accordionist and composer Janez Dovč, saxophonist Boštjan Simon, and others. Besides tuba, he plays foot drums, trumpet, baritone horn, and keyboards. Krmac also regularly composes, performs and produces music for radio drama, theatre, film and TV, having worked with a number of Slovenian national theatres and Radio-Television of Slovenia. Over his career, he has collaborated with internationally acclaimed jazz and improvising musicians, including Michael Moore, Han Bennink, Eric Boeren, Wolter Wierbos, Kaja Draksler, Boštjan Simon, and Tarek Yamani, and contributes to various Slovenian and European music projects. Beyond performance and composition, Krmac is active as an educator, band leader, and workshop leader, developing unique approaches to group interaction through sound and improvisation. He is a Jazz Perfomance alumnus of the Prince Claus Conservatoire in the Netherlands.
