About
Hello! My name is Emma Guan and I am a freelance artist specializing in 2D animation and illustration looking for a fun creative project to work on. I am a recent graduate from New York University with a Bachelor’s in animation, illustration, and visual storytelling.
‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ is the motto I live by in my creative process. From visual development and concept to final work, I have the ability to translate many ideas by a single still image. Visual language is a powerful tool that I frequently utilize in my art, where I like to explore fashion design and themes of identity and interpersonal relationships.
I have 5+ years of experience working with programs such as Clip Studio Paint, Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. I additionally have experience collaborating with volunteer game jam teams on indie video games, focusing on character design and CG art and 2D animated short films (clean up and color).
I hope you like what you see and I look forward to working with you! :)
