I began my programming career in 1998, starting with mainframe systems and continuously learning to evolve with technology. My hands-on experience spans designing and building robust business solutions and databases, often reverse-engineering legacy systems to modernize and optimize them for today’s technology. I transform Excel flat tables into robust SQL models, design and implement databases across Access, SQL Server, and MySQL, and build Windows desktop apps and web solutions using Visual Basic, C#, ASP.NET Razor Pages, CakePHP, HTML/CSS/JS. I thrive both independently and in large teams, on-site or remote, and I value clear technical documentation and automation — including VBA-powered processes that helped shape this resume.

    paper Personal ASP.Net Website

Developing and designing a new Website or Desktop application involves several key steps and considerations. In this example, I highlight the use of ASP.NET 8 MVC and SQL Server.

The process begins by defining the project scope and identifying the target audience to ensure the solution meets user needs. Wireframes and mockups help visualize layout and design. Once finalized, the front-end is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while the database schema is designed to organize data efficiently. The back-end is implemented using ASP.NET MVC, connected to SQL Server for robust data management. Finally, the application is tested for functionality, usability, and security before launch. Ongoing maintenance and updates are essential to keep the system reliable.

    paper New Connections Ministries

In 1998 New Connections Ministries (NCM) was established as an outreach to men in prisons across Eastern Ontario. These initial contacts soon led to providing follow-up, upon their release into the community, and to ministering to the families of these men. It became clear that many of the men to whom we were ministering, were struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs and sexual immorality. Please visit the website to learn more.

I am a member of the board of directors and in charge of the website and other administration forms not available to the community.
