Hi Twine team! My name is Hadley Gessner and I am a soon-to-be-grad from NYU studying film and television. I have spent the past couple of years concentrating in comedic screenwriting and hope to pursue a career in making people laugh. My resume includes both on and off-set filmmaking experiences, and my last couple of months have been at Free Association, a comedy forward company owned by Channing Tatum. Through both of my development internships, I’ve learned what makes a script pop and how to capture an audience with the right hook. Podcast writing has always been an interest of mine, and I completed my first podcasting pilot during my time at NYU. On top of my interest in filmmaking and writing, I would consider myself a seasoned extrovert: I love people. Working with other comics is what fuels me, and I feel this would be all the more special in a female forward space. Unfortunately for me but fortunately for you, I spend far too much time on my phone and am all too aware of the cultural zeitgeist. Although I would not call myself a “content creator,” my friends know me well through my witty close friends stories and the occasional TikTok.
