Distributed through Spinnup via Universal Music Group, the project features world-class British talent in the form of Syon, Samson, Kyra & Stikmatik. Gifted’s latest offering takes UK R&B & Hip-Hop to a place it’s never been before. From it’s cinematic ascent on, ‘Reflections’, listeners are lowered into the darkness by the menacing sounds of ‘Loud’. There’s light at the end of the tunnel though, as we hear on the motivational ‘Chosen Few’, eventually, we’re taken over the horizon on the triumphant ‘Stay With Me’ and instantly feel compelled to hear it all again.

UK music producer and engineer Gifted returns with a dynamic, collaborative EP project, ‘Shokunin 3.’ The R&B-centered project features slinky, innovative production from Gifted and vocal performances from R&B and hip-hop artists Chase Mac, Leon Zai, Samson Maven, Papz and Saint Elgin.
The project’s opening track, “Stop Playin,” written by Syon and Chase Mac, is featured on Audiomack’s verified “Best of the Week: R&B” playlist.
“This EP was made during a pivotal time in my life," said UK music producer and engineer Gifted. "My collaborators held me up without even realising and I’m proud to present this body of work.”
Gifted continued, “The project’s artwork means a lot to me. It is a true reflection of the Shokunin spirit — that is someone who hacks away at weakness daily. Someone who is on the ruthless pursuit of mastery. He does so with grace and gratitude — this is the Shokunin way.”
Inspired by legendary producers like The Neptunes, Hit-Boy and J Dilla, Gifted has worked with award-winning artists, including Giggs, Wretch 32, Lady Leshurr, and Krept & Konan. His breakthrough collaboration with Swiss (of So Solid Crew) featured Apple’s Beats1 DJ Charlie Sloth, as well as author and activist Akala.
Gifted’s work has been featured on BBC Radio, Link Up TV, SBTV, GRM Daily, RWD Magazine, and VIBE Magazine, Gifted’s production has also been featured on Jay-Z’s personally curated Life+Times website, and has been given the stamp of approval by mega producer Timbaland.
‘Shokunin 3’ is the follow-up to the EP “Shokunin 2,” released in September 2020. “Shokunin 2” features world-class British talent in the form of Syon, Samson, Kyra & Stikmatik, and has racked up more than 100,000 streams across DSPs.
