    paper Moose Box

Role: Background Artist / Texturing Artist

Moosebox is South Africa’s first Nickelodeon International Development. The production, background art, and animation was all done at Johannesburg’s animation agency ‘Mind’s Eye Creative’. The 20 animated shorts were created and directed by Mike Scott along with head writer Greig Cameron, and audio from Audio Militia. These shorts were written by many creatives minds from all over SA.
I was one of the truly lucky background and texturing artists on this amazing project. I’ve never had so much fun before and was in my element illustration everyday with complete passion no matter how many late night came about ;) I worked in Adobe Photoshop from the line work, doing the base colouring, to the texturing.

With in the project link you will see scene examples as linework, to final product. Followed by a few selected scenes from:
Episode 3: Shadow Of The Honey Badger
    Episode 6: Cheese Please
    Episode 19: Lost
Episode 9: Pixel In A Haystack

You can watch the official trailer here:

    Hope you enjoy :)

paper The Green Squad Gaumont Alphanim Production

During the process of animation, background art is always one of the key elements needed to complete a project look as a whole, as well as its entire mood. My role in this, project The Green Squad, was team leader in the line work and base colour department. Each scene had to be drawn and coloured in Photoshop, separating, grouping and labeling each layer in preparation for the final stages of texturing.
In my team completed ±40 of these scenes a per day.

paper CALPOL - Story & Activity Books

Calpol is an infant suspension medicine that provides soothing relief from pain and fever for your children, when they need it most.
My client contacted me to illustrate 2 books for clients and suppliers. A storybook for children’s reading and enjoyment together with their parents; and an Activity book. The activity book is full of activities that moms can do with their children as they reach the different stages of development.
My illustrations depict of the story and information inside. The style was simple cute, clear and fun with a bright but attractive colour palette, enjoyable for both children and adults.
    I hope you enjoy.

paper ABSA Siyakhula Illustrations & Presentation Design

ABSA (South African bank) needed agency agency We Explain Stuff who hired me to create a clear, impactful and fun presentation on how to enable front line leadership and staff to understand and apply the Siyakhula principles in their world.
As the illustrator, we achieved this by creating a story, moving through all the basics in an easy to understand manner that was both memorable and fun.

paper ADIDAS - Illustrated storyboards for CAM video animation

The objective was have a video in place that provides all key information regarding
CAM explained in max 2 minutes.
A brief summary of this job was creating a visual representation of the journey and process from 100-day update to activation, showing where they came from, where they were heading, the global set up and the unique account managers working
    directly with markets.

    BEGINNING:
From the beginning of going from 215 agencies across the world to 1, showingthe middle, their current one global process… to the end of showing how they strengthening the brand, building a strong connection and collaborative approach from global to local.

    The target audience:
Adidas: Market Marketing teams, Brand Comms, Retail, Wholesale, Digital.

Below are the illustrations created for the storyboard that would be animated
    for this project.

    paper Twende

I had the pleasure and honour to work with Minds Eye Creative besed in Johannesburg SA, on their animation series ‘Twende’, currently avaiable on Showmax.

The animated series summary is about Twende, who is a pangolin, the slowest-moving animal in the Savannah. His belief that ‘life is about the journey, not the destination’ is at odds with his job as a boda boda driver in the busy, fictional African city of Milima.

These are a few of the background scenes I worked on.

    paper Ninjago

This is my proudest, most special projects that I worked on during my time as a designer at LEGO in Denmark.
Ninjago 2014 is the project I worked on throughout 2013. The characters returned again with new evil villains and a whole new exciting story is revealed.

Now that the 1st Half is officially out in stores, i can finally show off my work.
Below are a few of the characters I designed.

…Ninjago 2014 ( 2nd Half) still has to be released in stores yet, so hold on tight for that.
