I’m a designer from Portugal and I currently live in Sweden. I have a background in Design and Interior Architecture, with a strong focus on service and strategic design, and cross-functional collaboration. I’m experienced in working with complex stakeholder environments, including Gothenburg’s municipality and Volvo. I’m skilled
in visual communication, and translating insights into concepts that bridge strategy and implementation.

In collaboration with the University of Gothenburg’s Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC), Fruitful Conversations explores how design can support the transition to a more inclusive and collaborative healthcare system in Sweden. Established in 2010, GPCC leads high-quality research in Person-Centred Care (PCC), a model that emphasizes partnership, empathy, and shared decision-making between healthcare providers and patients.
Our team engaged with GPCC researchers and practitioners to understand the friction between the theory and real-world application of PCC. While PCC is widely endorsed for its impact on patient satisfaction, staff wellbeing, and systemic efficiency, ts day-to-day implementation is often hindered by lack of time, rigid systems, and communication gaps.
Many existing PCC methods focus primarily on the perspective of healthcare professionals, with limited attention to building genuine partnerships. Our research uncovered a need for tools that support both sides of the relationship and that foster empathy, active listening, and a shared sense of agency between patients and care providers.

This project is a residential development located in the open, rural landscape south of Malmö. The project comprises 14 distinct small houses arranged in terraced and semi-detached forms, with a strong emphasis on landscape integration, community building, and sustainable living. The design blends contemporary Nordic aesthetics with the expansive, horizontal character of the Skåne countryside.
I was involved in the initial conceptual phase of the project during my architecture internship, contributing to the proposal that ultimately won the land allocation competition. My work focused on supporting spatial organization studies, design research, and visualization tasks that shaped the early architectural language of the neighborhood.
Each unit is carefully positioned to maximize views of the surroundings while maintaining a feeling of enclosure through defined courtyards and clustered layouts. Floor plans are optimized for light, with large windows framing the landscape and bringing in ample daylight. Communal elements like the shared gardens create opportunities for neighbors to gather and strengthen social ties.

Moka Café was developed as a competition proposal for Brunnsparken, one of Gothenburg’s most iconic and active urban spaces. The design brief called for a structure that would serve both practical and symbolic functions as a café, a meeting point, and a public landmark. The team focused on creating an accessible, future-proof, and socially inviting building that resonates with its historic surroundings while embracing forward-looking sustainability practices.
A central passage cuts through the building, connecting the tram stop with the park and encouraging movement through rather than around the structure. This transparency eliminates hierarchy between facades, allowing activation from all sides. A west-facing service hatch makes it possible to serve people even when the interior is closed, while a generous roof overhang and designed park bench invite spontaneous use and social activity on the parkside.

This project was developed as part of an assignment focused on designing a lifeguard tower. The main goal was to conceive a functional and structurally lookout post by first construct a scaled mock-up. The design had to respond to specific constraints: it was limited to wooden beams and wooden boards, both with a maximum length of 6 meters.
The structure integrates a shaded shelter for lifeguards and a designated storage area to house essential beach safety equipment such as the mast, flags, buoys, and rescue boards. A key aspect of the design was the development of a subsidiary element to secure and organize these tools, ensuring both accessibility and protection.
The project started by building a 1:10 scale prototype using balsa wood. To communicate the structure’s impact and spatial presence, I created a photomontage placing the model into real beach settings using images taken at the beach and edited in Photoshop. These visualizations were crucial to simulate the real-life context and proportions of the structure.
