In this project I was part of a small team, with 2 videographers (myself being one) and a photographer & director, and we were filming over 3 half days. Our brief was to capture interviews with certain members of the company, the CEO, the factory workers & the truck driver, and one of the managers from Aspect Roofing. A company that works closely with Proform and does a lot of the install work.
On the first shoot day we arrived at the factory and set up our equipment, scout the warehouse for the best areas to set up the interviews showcasing the background, setting up lighting and briefing the workers. Once we did all the interviews on-site, we went around and shot the b-roll footage that we needed. Then a few days later I was on one of their active construction sites with the manager from Aspect roofing and our photographer to film his interview. I was also there to capture footage of the crew installing the steel roofing sheets and the scenery of the job site.
The last day was just a re-visit to the factory as the CEO was not there on the first shoot day so I captured his interview myself.
I was in charge of the full video editing process for the project and the scope ended up changing multiple times during this time. Originally it was a longer 16x9 1.5 minute no audio banner of cinematic b-roll for their website which was then shortened to around 30 seconds. For the testimonials I had first created a 16x9 timeline about 4 minutes in length, which each person having their own section with b-roll relating to their role in the company. This was changed to 3, short form 9x16 reels. One video for the CEO, one for the manager from Aspect Roofing, and one for the 2 warehouse workers and the truck driver. I had the flexibility to adapt to this and still create multiple high end deliverables.

For this project, the company was installing a large, 2-car carport at a local dealership in the heart of Auckland. My directive was to capture the install from start to finish, with stills, video, and timelapse. The clients needed this content to have on 2 large TV’s at the upcoming Auckland homeshow event, where they would be showcasing this carports amongst hundreds of other brands with their products in a large venue.
This project kicked off at 7am when the team arrived on site and I set up my timelapse camera on the interval shooting mode to capture the install taking place. I was then following the team as they began the install capturing close up stills & videos of each step of the process. Then stepping back to get wider angles of the whole structure coming together. Once the project was complete, I went back the following day to capture the whole carport without anyone else there.
For the editing process, the photos I had taken were a mix of single and bracketed exposures to maximise the dynamic range when necessary. For video we created a 2 minute 16x9 film of the entire install and finished project & 2 short-form 9x16 reels. For the short form reels, one of them was focused on the team and the detailed construction process, and the other was focused on the end product.

This was Aucklands smaller-scale of the popular “Hyrox” CrossFit event. I was in charge of Photography, Videography and all editing for this project.
It spanned an entire day in which I was constantly capturing high-intensity stills and videos of the athletes competing. Also focusing heavily on the sponsors of the event, the staff cheering people on, the crowd and the environment.
In post production I was tasked with editing one recap / highlight reel, and 3 shorter, fast paced reels.
On top of this I also edited a total of 300+ photos from the day.
NuStyle Joinery are a high-end window and joinery fitting company in New Zealand.
I recently shot, filmed and edited both photos and reels for a few of their recent installs. This was for an agency to use as content to run paid ad campaigns. I took control of establishing the site, working with the natural sunlight and planning my shooting times around that. I used my my Sony A7IV on a DJI RS3 Gimbal with a CPL to capture the cinematic movements that best showcased their joinery.
I then went through with my Sony A7RIV to capture still images of the same, or similar areas of focus.
Once the filming was completed I then proceeded to edit the photos in Adobe Lightroom, jumping into Adobe Photoshop to remove anything unwanted and polish off the final edits. For the videos, I edit in Da Vinci Resolve so I selected the music that best fitted the location and feel of the clips, compiled them together, add any sound design and transitions necessary. Then colour grade the footage and ensure there is consistency throughout the video.
