This full-length LP was a collaboration with David Arquette and musician Graham Wheeler, building on the Bozo EP we created together. I designed the entire visual identity for Send in the Bozos, drawing from vintage Bozo records and mid-century circus aesthetics to capture both nostalgia and a fresh, modern energy.
The cover artwork puts Bozo front and center in a bold, cartoon style with hand-drawn typography and playful poster-like design. Inside the gatefold, fans get a massive collage of hundreds of photos from the record’s production and rare Bozo ephemera—you might even spot a clowned-up version of yours truly hiding in the mix.
The vinyl itself carries the theme further: pressed on black wax with white “cream pie splatter” that makes every copy unique, like Bozo just lobbed a pie across the turntable. The packaging also includes some original art David created during the 2020 lockdowns, adding a personal touch without distracting from the main design.
Beyond the LP, I also contributed to the branding for Rainbow Time Records, using the grooves of a record to form a rainbow motif and cement Bozo as the heart of their label’s identity.
