I’m Jacob “Jake” Beacock, a Montreal-based writer, art and music historian, critic, artist, curator, researcher, and content creator. With a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Concordia University, I’m passionate about exploring the connections between visual culture, music, history, and contemporary creative communities. My writing includes album reviews, concert reviews, poetry, and cultural commentary published through The Concordian, District Media, Sex(ed.) Magazine, Substack, and self-published projects.
I currently volunteer as an archive researcher with the Music History Museum of Montreal, while continuing to develop creative projects across writing, visual art, curation, and digital media. I also spearheaded NIFOC: Naked in Front of Computer, a grant-funded exhibition focused on the internet’s impact on human sensitivity. I enjoy combining research, thoughtful storytelling, strong visual communication, and a collaborative spirit in every project I take on.
