James Frolio

Hi, I’m James Frolio, a musician, mixer, songwriter, producer, manager, and artist based in San Diego. I bring a rich jazz foundation and extensive hands-on experience across live entertainment, FM radio, podcasting, studio work, touring, and content creation. I’m passionate about honoring the artist’s creative vision with technical precision and a collaborative mindset.

I’ve learned from mentors like Majeed Fick and Elliott Elsey, and I’ve supported artists such as David Gray, Fitz & The Tantrums, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Ranky Tanky, Elise Testone, and Daryl Hall. Whether in a home studio, a premier facility, or a remote mixing role, I strive to deliver records that feel polished, powerful, and connected to the audience, while building community and opportunity in the music industry.
